Lynda Blackmon Lowery joins us to discuss her book, Turning 15 on the Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom: My Story of the 1965 Selma Voting Rights March, which has been adapted into a play of the same name. This new play, which includes gospel and spiritual songs, ran at The Riverside Church during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. The book and play detail what it was like to be the youngest person to participate in the 1965 Selma Voting Rights March.
